Gabriela Alexandra Cartaya Neufeld is an American teacher who taught biology for students between ninth and 12th grade at South Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, United States. She is 5’5″ tall and her registered weight is 120 pounds.

Originally from Boone, Watauga County, North Carolina, Neufeld attended Appalachian State University in Boone. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

8. At around 3:20 a.m. on November 30, 2023, she was released after she posted a $75,000 bond. She was charged with five counts of felony sexual activity with a student by a teacher.
9. On November 14, 2024, she pleaded guilty to felony crime against nature so prosecutors dropped several other charges of sexual activity with a student and a prison sentence of 6-17 months was suspended as long as she completes probation. She was prohibited from working with minors and required to surrender her teaching license and have a psychiatric evaluation and participate in counseling and treatment programs recommended by her probation officer.
