  9. On July 1, 2013, she was arrested on suspicion of having an unlawful sexual relationship with a minor. She was later released on $25,000 bail. She admitted to police she had sex with a minor 10 to 15 times in her classroom and at her apartment between 2007 and 2008.
  10. On July 31, 2013, she pleaded guilty to just six of the 41 felony counts she was facing.
  11. On August 28, 2013, she was sentenced by Judge Arthur Harrison at San Bernardino Superior Court in San Bernardino, California to a year in county jail and five years’ probation.
  12. On August 20, 2016, the Redlands Unified School District agreed to pay $6 million to the former student who impregnated her while she was his teacher.
  13. In November 2024, she turned 39.

TIMELINE

2021

  • On January 29, 2021, the former student she allegedly abused between 2007 and 2008 filed a lawsuit against her in San Bernardino Superior Court. The plaintiff was represented by Manly, Stewart & Finaldi.

2022

  • In October 2022, a former student filed a lawsuit against her in San Bernardino Superior Court, claiming that she groomed him for abuse and engaged in multiple sex acts with him on campus.

2023

  • In September 2023, it was revealed that the Redlands Unified School District would pay $2.25 million to settle the lawsuit filed against her in 2021.
