2021

  • On March 31, 2021, he fatally shot Leticia Solis Guzman, 58, Unified Homes owner Luis Tovar, 50, Jenevieve Raygoza, 28, and Matthew Farias, 9, and wounded Blanca Tamayo at the Unified Homes office building in Orange. He also fired at two officers but they were not hit. He knew the victims through a business and personal relationship, according to Orange Police Department spokesperson Lieutenant Jennifer Amat. 
  • On April 1, 2021, he was arrested. He had a gunshot wound so he was transported to the hospital. He was was charged with four murder counts and three attempted murder counts.
  • In December 2021, he was ruled incompetent to stand trial.

2022

  • On October 18, 2022, Orange County supervisors approved a request to open the conservatorship proceedings for him to the public and his victims.
