Who is Philip Hall?
Philip Michael Hall is an American pharmacist from Jamestown, Fentress County, Tennessee, United States. As a Baptist, he refused to dispense Plan B contraceptives, which he believed cause abortions.
Aside from working as a licensed pharmacist, Hall also served as a pastor at the Pine Haven Baptist Church in Jamestown and an assistant baseball coach at the York Institute in Jamestown. He attended Clarkrange High School in Clarkrange, Tennessee, the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee and Samford University in Homewood, Alabama, USA.
Hall and Jennifer “Jenny” Hall met in high school. They have four children together including Trey Hall, Andrew Hall and Julianna Hall.
Aside from Jamestown, Philip has lived in other parts of Tennessee including Clarkrange and Knoxville. In 2014, he and Jenny started Hall Family Pharmacy, a pharmacy with locations in Jamestown and Clarkrange.

- From 2018 until at least May 2024, he submitted false claims to Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicaid, Medicare and TRICARE for prescriptions for drugs not medically necessary, not actually dispensed or not ordered by a physician or other healthcare provider.
- In December 2021, he was named the Hubert H. Humphrey National Independent Pharmacist of the Year by Ken Yager, who assumed office as a member of the Tennessee Senate from the 12th district.
- On February 26, 2022, he was was honored with other distinguished pharmacists and pharmaceutical providers in Orlando, Florida, USA in conjunction with the annual National Community Healthcare Association conference and celebration.
- In November 2024, he turned 48.
- Unsealed on December 20, 2024, a federal indictment charged him with six counts of aggravated identity theft and nine counts of health care fraud.
