Goolsby is accused of uploading multiple files of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to an account on Dropbox, a file hosting service operated by Dropbox, Inc., which is based in San Francisco, California, USA. Drew Houston, 41, and Arash Ferdowsi, 39, founded the software company in May 2007.
In December 2024, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) started an investigation after receiving a tip about Goolsby from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The TBI labeled the investigation as an ongoing CSAM investigation.
On February 10, 2025, TBI agents secured a warrant for Goolsby’s arrest. On the same day, the Smith County Sheriff’s Office located him in Smith County and arrested him.
Goolsby was booked into a jail in Smith County. He was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.
