Who will be Luana Cavalcante’s successor?
Brazil currently has 39 Miss Universe placements including the coronations of Iêda Maria Vargas in 1963 and Martha Vasconcelos in 1968. The most recent one was the first runner-up finish of Julia Gama in the 2020 edition.
On September 19, 2024, Luana Cavalcante of Pernambuco was crowned Miss Brazil 2024 at Teatro Gamaro in Mooca, São Paulo, Brazil. The respective first and second runners-up were Gabriele Marinho of Alagoas and Maria Fabiana Mata of Rio de Janeiro.
On February 13, 2025, Cavalcante will crown her successor at Coliseu Convenções in Barueri, São Paulo. It is the 71st edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Brazil’s Miss Universe candidate.
