Gustavo Ramos Cahuaya, 28, of Sterling, Loudoun County, Virginia, United States is accused of being an online predator. He was recently arrested.

Loudoun County is around 42 miles away from Fairfax County, Virginia. Recently, the Major Crimes Bureau’s Child Exploitation Unit (CEXU) of the Fairfax County Police Department conducted a multi-day operation targeting online predators.

Seven men including Cahuaya are accused of using online platforms to initiate inappropriate conversations with individuals they believed to be underage. Upon arriving in Fairfax County with plans to commit sexual acts with minors, they were arrested by detectives from FCPD’s CEXU and the Street Crimes Unit.

On February 11, 2025, the FCPD announced the arrest of Cahuaya and six other men. The Sterling man is the second youngest among the seven suspects.

The seven suspects collectively face a total of 25 felony charges. In particular, Cahuaya was charged with solicitation of a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and production of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Sterling is a census-designated place with 12 public elementary schools serving grades PK-5. The place has three public middle schools serving grades 6-8 and three public high schools serving grades 9-12.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement and the Drug Enforcement Administration have offices in Sterling. Both National Football League players Dondrea Tillman, 26, and Jalen Coker, 23, were born in Sterling.
