Yaowalak Traisurat (เยาวลักษณ์ ไตรสุรัตน์) represented Thailand in the 52nd edition of Miss Universe. It was won by the Dominican Republic’s Amelia Vega.

From 2000 to 2011, Thailand was represented in Miss Universe by the Miss Thailand Universe winner. The first edition of Miss Universe Thailand was held in 2012.
