A total of 11 men were arrested as a result of a child exploitation sting led by the police department of Opelika, Lee County, Alabama, United States. The arrestees are accused of trying to meet minors for sex.

The Opelika Police Department conducted the undercover operation in partnership with the Lee County District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Covenant Rescue Group, a nonprofit dedicated to combating human trafficking, also participated in the operation.

As part of the operation, the investigators posed as minors in online chat rooms and social media and arranged meetings with suspects, who allegedly believed they were meeting teenage girls for sexual encounters. Here are the 11 men arrested from February 20-21, 2025:

  3. Efraim Perez Vaquero, 22, Union Springs, Alabama
  4. Grant Kisang Lee, 43, Johns Creek, Georgia, USA
  5. Ismel Cano Montealegre, 21, Montgomery, Alabama
  6. Jacob Andrew Fahringer, 23, Auburn, Alabama
  7. Javier Perez, 25, Auburn, Alabama
  8. Marcus Savon Wilson, 44, Auburn, Alabama
  9. Quyen Huu Nguyen, 29, Auburn, Alabama
  10. Seungyun Lee, 28, Auburn, Alabama
  11. Victor Lewis Dowdell II, 27, Auburn, Alabama

Nguyen operates the Queen Nails and Spa on South Gay Street in Auburn. He was charged with two counts each of child solicitation by computer, traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and prostitution with a minor.

After posting a $260,000 bond, Nguyen was released. He is prohibited from contact with individuals under 16 years old except for immediate family members like a child or sibling. 

In April 2025, a hearing will be conducted to appoint legal counsel. Anyone with information about Nguyen’s alleged crimes is asked to call the Opelika Police Department’s detective division at (334) 705-5220 or the secret witness hotline at (334) 745-8665.
