Caitlin Tracey
Adam P. Beckerink, 46, is a tax attorney from Chicago, Illinois, United States. He was married to Caitlin Walch Tracey of New Buffalo, Berrien County, Michigan, USA.
Tracey is the daughter of Andrew Tracey, 69, a retired real estate developer and Dr. Monica Tracey, 65, a college professor. Beckerlink is a former partner of Duane Morris, a law firm based in Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, USA.
Caitlin and Beckerlink started dating in October 2022 and broke up in September 2023 but later reconciled. When they got married on April 8, 2024 in a private ceremony, her relatives were not involved.
While Beckerlink and Caitlin were living in her three-story house in New Buffalo, he faced at least two domestic violence charges involving her. They had no children together.

At around 3:00 p.m. on July 11, 2023, Beckerink stripped Caitlin naked and brutally attacked her at her residence in New Buffalo, according to her. At around 8:00 a.m. on August 21, 2023, he verbally and physically abused her at his apartment in Grand Luxury Condos in South Loop, Chicago then prevented her from leaving or seeking help, according to her.
At 5:30 p.m. on September 20, 2023, Caitlin was staying at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Magnificent Mile, Chicago when Beckerink stormed into her room and tried to sexually abuse her, according to her. On October 4, 2023, she filed a restraining order against him and in November 2023, she obtained an order of protection against him in Cook County, Illinois.
In January 2024, New Buffalo Police Department officers responded to Caitlin’s residence in New Buffalo and observed she had cuts on her lips and other red markings. She told the them Beckerink had assaulted her and stolen some of her items.
In August 2024, officers were again called to Caitlin’s residence in New Buffalo. On October 24, 2024, Beckerink was with her in Chicago as show by building surveillance video.
After Caitlin’s death, however, Beckerink told authorities that on October 25, 2024, he returned from Michigan to Chicago. He falsely claimed he had not seen her in about a month.
At around 7:20 p.m. on October 27, 2024, Caitlin was found dead in a stairwell outside Beckerink’s apartment in South Loop. She had fallen 20 stories, according to the Chicago Police Department.
On October 28, 2024, Beckerink was arrested and charged by the Chicago Police Department with disorderly conduct after he allegedly made a false report of an offense. After questioning, however, he was released without charge.
On October 31, 2024, Beckerink was charged with aggravated assault charge. On March 7, 2025, he was arrested at his condo in South Loop for the charge on a warrant out of Berrien County.
On March 8, 2025, Beckerink appeared in court in Chicago where he was ordered held in protective custody in the Cook County Jail in Chicago. He is represented by John Brayman.
