Who is Trinity Shockley?
Trinity J. Shockley, 18, of Mooresville, Brown Township, Morgan County, Indiana, United States is Timothy Shockley‘s child. Born biologically female, Trinity identifies as a transgender man but the pronouns she and her are acceptable for her.
Trinity responds to her given name although she often goes by Jamie or Dex. While attending Mooresville High School, she was accused of planning to carry out a mass shooting at the school on Valentine’s Day.
Timothy denied Trinity mental health resources, which she repeatedly asked for, according to authorities. She allegedly planned to kill students at her school on February 14, 2025 after her mother died from drug overdose.
On February 11, 2025, Trinity had a mental breakdown at school, according to her. That day, a tipster reported the threat to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which relayed the information to the Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department at around 7:00 p.m.
According to the tipster, Trinity ordered a bulletproof vest and has access to an AR-15. When a detective at the police department interviewed the teenager about the threat, she said she was joking.
After the interview, Trinity was arrested and booked into the Morgan County Jail in Martinsville, Morgan County. Investigators who executed a search warrant found not only pieces of evidence inside her residence in Mooresville but also photos of mass murderers Dylann Storm Roof, 30, and Nikolas Jacob Cruz, 26, and the late Randy Robert Stair on the wall of her bedroom.
On February 18, 2025, Trinity appeared in a bond hearing at the Morgan County Courthouse in Martinsville. She was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, intimidation (threat to commit terrorism) and conspiracy to commit intimidation (threat to commit terrorism).
The Morgan County Prosecutor’s Office requested that Trinity be held on a $500,000 surety plus a $250,000 cash bond. Morgan County Judge Dakota Van Leeuwen later ordered the teenager be held on no bond until she had completed two psychiatric evaluations.
However, Trinity’s attorneys protested, claiming that the charges did not allow their client be held without bail. According to them, a psychiatric evaluation ordered by the court would violate her Fifth Ammendment rights.
On March 10, 2025, Trinity attended a hearing on a Motion to Reconsider and Objection to Psych Evaluations. Her bond was set by a judge at $1 million surety and $500,000 cash.
To be released from jail, Trinity has to post $600,000 bail. On June 10, 2025, she will appear in Morgan County Superior Court 1 for a jury trial.
