Who is Mark Harris?
Mark Harris, 38, of Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States is a banker working in energy and infrastructure finance at Investec, an international banking company based in Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa and London, England, United Kingdom. He is a bookrunner on deals in the U.S.
Harris lives in a two-bedroom apartment in the Brooklyn Point building in Brooklyn. It is worth around $2.6 million.
On February 25, 2025, Harris allegedly attacked a woman, 25, inside her apartment in Midtown Manhattan, Manhattan. According to her, he sexually assaulted her after pulling her pants down and holding her against a mattress.
The woman told authorities that she was able to kick Harris off of her after she repeatedly pleaded for him to stop. As he left her apartment, he allegedly called her a “f—–g b—h” and told her, “You had this coming.”
Authorities have yet to release details about Harris’s arrest and his relationship to the accuser. On March 6, 2025, he was arraigned on rape and sexual abuse charges in Manhattan Criminal Court.
Prosecutors requested a $150,000 cash bail. Harris was released after posting bail.
On March 11, 2025, the Investec employee will be back in court. He is represented by Jason Goldman.
