  • On April 19, 2021, she announced her Miss World Canada 2021 participation.
  • On October 3, 2021, she did not participate at Miss World Canada 2021, which was won by Jaime VandenBerg.
  • On November 16, 2021, she was officially appointed Miss World Somalia 2021 and made history ass the first Miss World contestant representing Somalia and the first hijabi woman to join the beauty pageant.
  • In December 2021, she represented Somalia at Miss World 2021 and competed against 96 other candidates in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was selected as one of the 40 quarterfinalists.

2022

  • On March 3, 2022, she went back to The Nairobi Leadership Academy where she talked to Somali students and their parents.
