Khadija Omar represented Somalia in the 70th edition of Miss World and in the 73rd edition of Miss Universe. She is the first Somalian beauty queen to compete in both beauty pageants.

BIOGRAPHY

Omar is a Somali-Canadian entrepreneur, social media marketing manager, model, fashion influencer, makeup artist and beauty queen based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She owns K-Amani Beauty, a brand that celebrates diversity and empowers women.

• On April 19, 2021, she announced her Miss World Canada 2021 participation.
• On October 3, 2021, she did not participate at Miss World Canada 2021, which was won by Jaime VandenBerg.
• On November 16, 2021, she was officially appointed Miss World Somalia 2021 and made history ass the first Miss World contestant representing Somalia and the first hijabi woman to join the beauty pageant.
• In December 2021, she represented Somalia at Miss World 2021 and competed against 96 other candidates in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was selected as one of the 40 quarterfinalists.

2022

• On March 3, 2022, she went back to The Nairobi Leadership Academy where she talked to Somali students and their parents.
• On March 16, 2022, she competed against 39 other quarterfinalists during the Miss World 2021 coronation night at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan. She finished in the Top 13.
• On June 1, 2022, she visited San Diego, California, USA.
• On June 25, 2022, she was a presenter and a guest speaker at The International Women Achievers Award at Delta by Marriott in Toronto.
