Charles Ray Blevins, 38, of Williamson, West Virginia, United States has been arrested. He is accused of killing Travis Eugene Huff of Huntington, West Virginia in 2007 and Adrian Smith of Cleveland, West Virginia in 2019.
Blevins is 6’3″ tall. He weights 210 pounds.
Travis Huff
Huff was born in Huntington,. On August 2, 2006, he turned 26.
On February 26, 2007, Huff was fatally shot in Barboursville, Cabell County, West Virginia by Blevins. The gunman was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
In 2009, Blevins was sentenced to life with mercy. In 2015, the verdict was set aside and a new trial was ordered because of issues with his attorney.
After pleading to a lesser charge of second-degree murder, Blevins was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
In January 2018, Blevins became eligible for parole but he was denied at the initial hearing. In February 2019, he was released on parole while serving out his sentence.
Adrian Smith
At around 8:00 p.m. on July 6, 2019, Smith was fatally shot in South Williamson, Pike County, Kentucky, USA allegedly by Blevins. The victim was 44.
Blevins was charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He went on the run after warrants for his arrest were issued on July 11, 2019.
On March 31, 2025, Blevins was found at a residence in the 300 block of Coach Hill Drive in Gaffney, Cherokee County, South Carolina, USA by the Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force (CRFTF) of the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) in coordination with the USMS Special Operations Group (SOG), the Southern District of West Virginia, the Eastern District of Kentucky and the District of South Carolina. Initially, he tried to escape through the back of the residence.
However, Blevins fell and broke his leg. He was taken into custody without further incident and transported to a hospital. He will remain in USMS custody pending his extradition to Kentucky.
