Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, “A Minecraft Movie” hit theaters in the United States on April 4, 2025. It is a fantasy adventure comedy film written by Chris Bowman, Chris Galletta, Gavin James, Hubbel Palmer and Neil Widener and directed by Jared Hess.

“The Crux” was released independently under AWAL also on April 4, 2025. It is the third studio album of Joe Kerry, who is also known as Djo.

“A Minecraft Movie”

On March 30, 2025, “A Minecraft Movie” had its world premiere at Empire, Leicester Square in London, England, United Kingdom. It is about Jack Black‘s character Steve, an expert crafter who has spent years living in the Overworld. 

In the film, Jason Momoa plays Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison, a game champion who became a video game store owner. Danielle Brooks plays Dawn, a real estate agent who runs a mobile petting zoo.

Sebastian Hansen plays a creative boy named Henry. The character’s older sister and legal guardian Natalie is played by Emma Myers.

Marlene, the vice principal of Henry’s school, is played by Jennifer Coolidge. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, Coolidge turned 53 on August 28, 2024.

“The Crux”

Born in Newburyport, Massachusetts, Djo will turn 32 on April 24, 2025. He graduated from The Theatre School at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, USA with a bachelor’s degree in acting in 2014.

In 2016, Djo joined the cast of the Netflix series “Stranger Things” as Steve Harrington. His debut studio album “Twenty Twenty” was released on September 13, 2019.

Djo’s second studio album was released on September 16, 2022. From 2023 to 2024, he played Gator Tilman in the FX series “Fargo” Season 5.

There are 12 songs in Djo’s third studio album. He wrote all the songs and co-wrote three of them with Adam Thein.
