Emily C. Nutley, 43, of Mason, Ohio, United States is a mother of three. She is married to Jonathan D. Nutley, 45, of Mason.

Jonathan and Emily have a son and two daughters. The son, the eldest child, is a junior high school student.

Aside from Mason, Emily has lived in other parts of Ohio including Bowling Green, Cincinnati and Warren. She worked as a teacher Madeira Elementary School and St. Xavier High School, which are both in Cincinnati.

Before the 2021-2022 school year, St. Xavier High School, a Jesuit boys’ institution, hired Emily as a multi-tiered systems support coordinator. Shortly after, she started pursuing a male student, then 17, outside of school hours.

While supervising a program aimed at helping students struggling with academics, Emily met the student, who was participating in the at-risk group. She sent him sexually explicit messages and naked photos of herself.

In November 2023, Emily started performing oral sex on the boy and in December 2023, she started having sex with him on and off school grounds. After he tried to end their relationship, she continued to trail him.

In October 2024, Emily was indicted after the student told school administrators about their relationship. The administrators contacted the Springfield Township Police Department in Cincinnati.

The police department launched an investigation that led to Emily’s arrest on October 28, 2024. The school fired her after her arrest.

In November 2024, Jonathan filed for divorce against Emily. In her legal response, she accused him of guilty of gross neglect of duty and extreme cruelty during their marriage.

In February 2025, Jonathan turned 45. On March 6, 2025, Emily turned 43.

On April 7, 2025, Emily pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery. The plea bargain in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court in Cincinnati had four other sexual battery counts dismissed.

On June 10, 2025, judge Jennifer Branch will sentenced will Emily. The latter, who will be required to register as a sex offender for life, faces up to 10 years in prison.
