On November 28, 2024, Lopez allegedly stabbed two individuals in the unit block of Garrett Road in Upper Darby, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, USA. Details about the victims were not released by authorities.
After the stabbing, Lopez hid from authorities but stayed in Upper Darby. Months later, investigators found out where he was hiding.
On April 9, 2025, Lopez was taken into custody without incident at a residence on the 7200 block of Spruce Street in Upper Darby by members of the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force (EPVCFTF) of the U.S. Marshals Service. He was booked into the George W. Hill Correctional Facility in Thornton, Delaware County.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers serving on the EPVCFTF immediately placed an ICE detainer on Lopez after determining he was in the U.S. illegally. The agency will arrest him upon his release from the George W. Hill Correctional Facility.

With offices in Pennsylvania’s Allentown, Easton, Philadelphia and Reading, EPVCFTF locates and apprehends fugitives throughout Philadelphia and its surrounding counties. The task force arrests the most violent offenders while ensuring the safety of the citizens and the community.
EPVCFTF is the first fugitive task force originating in 1981 in the U.S. Its participants are the U.S. Marshals, the Pennsylvania State Police and the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole.
