Flanagan is an American politician based in Dennis Port. He was born in 1987.

After graduating from Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts, Flanagan earned a master’s degree in national security studies, political science and government from the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island, USA. Here are 13 more things about him:

From 2019 to 2024, Flanagan received annual salary and benefits ranging approximately from $65,800 to $81,600 from the HBRACC. He allegedly stole funds from the association and spent them on personal expenditures including air conditioner, psychic services and menswear.

2021

  • In October 2021, he was missing mortgage payments and had thousands of dollars in outstanding credit card debt  and hundreds of dollars in bank overdraft fees. 
  • On November 18, 2021, he transferred $8,000 via PayPal from the HBRACC account to his personal accunt.
  • On November 22, 2021, he transferred another $8,000 via official check deposit from the HBRACC account to his personal account.

2022

  • On an HBRACC expense report, he claimed he had spent $159.36 on technology at Best Buy on March 4, 2022 and $537.26 on office supplies at 4Imprint on April 18, 2022, which were actually for a portable Bluetooth speaker and for t-shirts supporting his state representative campaign, respectively.
  • In July 2022, he allegedly used HBRACC funds to pay for personal psychic services.
  • On November 3, 2022, he transferred another $1,500 via PayPal from the HBRACC account to his personal account.

2023

  • On January 4, 2023, he assumed office as a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 1st Barnstable District.
  • On January 28, 2023, he transferred $10,000 via official deposit from the HBRACC account to his personal account to fund his campaign account for state representative.
  • In October 2023, he admitted to OCPF that Jeanne Louise was fake.

2024

  • On May 5, 2024, he concealed the funds he stole from the HBRACC by logging onto the association’s accounting and bookkeeping software using another employee’s account, entering backdated transactions to account for the stolen funds and entering false transaction codes for the withdrawals.
  • In November 2024, the HBRACC accused him of misappropriation and fraud and complained to authorities about him.

2025

  • In January 2025, the Barnstable Police Department confirmed that he was under investigation.
  • In April 2025, he was indicted on one count on falsification of records and five counts of wire fraud.
