Aymen Labidi, 22, of Austin, Texas, United States was arrested multiple times from 2024 to 2025. Most recently, he is accused of assaulting multiple people in unprovoked attacks near the University of Texas at Austin campus in Austin.
From 2020 to 2024, Labidi studied mechanical engineering at the university. Jim Davis has been the university’s interim president since February 2025.
A portion of Guadalupe Street called the Drag runs along the western edge of the university. Students of the university protested when the Church of Scientology building on the Drag reopened in 2024.

On April 29, 2024, Labidi was arrested for criminal trespass. It was the first time he entered into the criminal justice system.
On September 20, 2024, Labidi walked into Kat Key‘s boutique c.jane on Guadalupe Street. Wearing two backpacks, one in front and one on his back, he demanded a Wi-Fi password and threatened to blow the boutique up.
After Key demanded Labidi leave, he made his way down to other businesses on the same street and threatened people inside. He was arrested and charged with terroristic threat causing fear of imminent serious bodily injury.
After posting bond, Labidi was released under the conditions he stayed away from the victims and stayed at least 200 feet away from c.jane. On October 28, 2024, he was arrested in Austin for theft.
On April 7, 2025, Labidi was arrested for allegedly assaulting multiple people near the University of Texas at Austin campus. He was released before the day ended.
On the morning of April 8, 2025, Labidi allegedly attacked at least three people on Guadalupe Street near West 24th Street in Austin. He is reportedly known for wearing a white motorcycle helmet and a full black suit.
That morning, Labidi punched people in the face and groped women as he passed them, according to witnesses. He allegedly punched a male driver in the face while the driver was sitting in his car.
Austin Police Department officers arrested Labidi. He was charged with second-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, and three counts of assault causing bodily injury, a misdemeanor.
On April 10, 2025, Labidi allegedly grabbed someone and confronted girls in a bathroom. He was arrested again.
Bonds for Labidi were set at $55,000. He is being held at the Travis County Jail in Austin.
