Emma Heyst represented Denmark in the 72nd edition of Miss World. The country is home to Miss World 1957 first runner-up Lilian Madsen and Miss World 1986 first runner-up Pia Rosenberg Larsen.

BIOGRAPHY

Heyst is a Danish philanthropist, model and beauty queen. She is also an animal welfare advocate and a sports enthusiast who enjoys dancing, horseback riding, paddleboarding, swimming, winter bathing and playing volleyball.

While reigning as Miss Danmark 2024, Heyst volunteered in animal shelters. Here are 10 more things about her:

  8. Due to lack of preparation, she withdrew from Miss Universe 2024, which was won by her replacement Victoria Theilvig.

TIMELINE

Heyst is inspired by her mother’s lifelong work in special needs education. While reigning as Miss World Denmark 2025, she worked with the Danish organization Lykkeliga, which builds inclusive communities for children with developmental disabilities. 

2023

  • In December 2023, she started working as a salesperson at ILVA.

2024

  • On September 1, 2024, she competed against 29 other Miss Danmark 2024 candidates at the Cirkusbygningen in Copenhagen, Denmark and won the title.

2025

  • On April 6, 2025, she was officially appointed Miss World Denmark 2025.
  • On May 31, 2025, she represented Denmark at Miss World 2025 and competed against 107 other candidates at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. She was unplaced.
  • On September 14, 2025, she will crown her successor Miss Danmark 2025.
