Alexie Mae Caimoso Brooks represented Iloilo City, Philippines in the fifth edition of Miss Universe Philippines and the inaugural edition of Reina Filipinas. She represented the country in the 10th edition of Miss Eco International.

BIOGRAPHY

Brooks is an American-Filipino athlete, model and beauty queen from Balud, Leon, Iloilo, Philippines. She was born in Metro Manila, Philippines to a black American father and a Filipino mother, who met in Lebanon.

Gregorio C. Caimoso and Basilisa “Basing” Calawigan Caimoso are Brooks’ maternal grandparents. Basing singlehandedly raised Brooks in Balud.

Growing up, Brooks helped Basing sell vegetables at the Iloilo Terminal Market in Iloilo City, Philippines. While attending Iloilo National High School in Iloilo City, Brooks was a student athlete scholar who competed in track-and-field, high jump, long jump, heptathlon and basketball and later trained under the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (PATAFA).
