Zambia has yet to place in Miss Universe. After not participating from 2019 to 2023, the African country made a comeback in 2024 with PR Media Girl as the new franchise holder and its managing partner Chishimba Nyambe as the national director.
On September 15, 2024, Brandina Lubuli was crowned Miss Universe Zambia 2024 at EastPark Mall’s The Music Club in Lusaka, Zambia. She competed against 11 other candidates.
In January 2025, PR Media Girl gave up the Miss Universe Zambia franchise. In the same month, Miss Universe Zambia 2010 Alice Rowlands Musukwa took over.
On April 20, 2025, Miss Universe Zambia 2025 Kunda Mwamulima was crowned by Miss Universe Zambia 20178 Melba Shakabozha and Miss World Zambia 2025 Faith Bwalya was crowned by Miss World Zambia 2018 Musa Kalaluka. Also crowned were Miss Supranational Zambia 2025 Namakau Nawa, Miss Grand Zambia 2025 Anna Musonda and Mrs. World Zambia 2025 Febby Mwandama, marking the first time in the country to have five national beauty queens crowned in the same event.
On May 31, 2025, Bwalya will represent Zambia at Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. On November 21, 2025, Mwamulima will represent the country at Miss Universe 2025 in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand.
