Aslihan Morali represented Canada in the 16th edition of Miss Supranational. It is one of the six grand slam international beauty pageants for women along with Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth, Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International.

Morali’s paternal grandparents planned a forced marriage for her at 17. Morali’s parents refused to accept this fate and so they brought her to Canada.

As immigrants, Morali’s family relied on food banks when she moved to Canada as a teenager. As an adult, she founded a nonprofit called LEAP, which offers educational resources to refugees, joined and the Canadian organization Global Medic, which provides humanitarian assistance in the aftermath of natural disaster and armed conflicts.
