Suchata Chuangsri (สุชาตา ช่วงศรี;) represented Thailand in the 73rd edition of Miss Universe and in the 72nd edition of Miss World. She is the first ever Miss World from the country.

BIOGRAPHY

Chuangsri is a Thai model and beauty queen nicknamed Opal. Her parents run the Homeplace Hotel in Old Town, Phuket, Thailand.

Born and raised in Phuket, Chuangsri graduated from Triam Udom Suksa School in Bangkok, Thailand where she studied the Chinese language. She reigned as Miss Universe Thailand 2024 while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in political science at the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University in Bangkok.

  • On July 30, 2022, she competed against 29 finalists at Miss Universe Thailand 2022 at True Icon Hall in Bangkok. She was third runner-up to Anna Sueangam-iam while Nicolene Limsnukan and Kanyalak Nookaew were the respective first and second runners-up.
  • In September 2022, she visited Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.
  • On October 15, 2022, Limsnukan was dethroned as Miss Universe Thailand 2022 first runner-up after failing to fulfill her duties and was replaced by Nookaew. She was promoted to second runner-up.

2023

  • On June 2, 2023, she attended an event at Prince Mahidol Hall of Mahidol University in  Salaya, Phutthamonthon, Nakhon Pathom, Thailand that celebrated the 155th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Italy and Thailand.
  • On June 21, 2023, she traveled to Milan, Italy.
  • On June 28, 2023, she traveled to Cannes, France.
  • On October 29, 2023, she went to the embassy of Turkiye in Bangkok and attended the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Turkiye’s proclamation.

  • On April 22, 2025, she was officially appointed Miss World Thailand 2025 and was dethroned as Miss Universe 2024 third runner-up.
  • On May 31, 2025, she represented Thailand at Miss World 2025 and competed against 107 other candidates at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. She won the title.
  • As Miss World 2025, she attended Miss Indonesia 2025 in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 9, 2025 and traveled to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on July 14, 2025, Zanzibar, Tanzania on July 18, 2025, Glasgow, Scotland on July 30, 2025, Coventry, England on August 1, 2025, Cardiff, Wales on August 2, 2025, London, England on August 6, 2025 and served as a Miss Lebanon 2025 judge in Beirut, Lebanon on October 4, 2025.
