- On the evening of July 30, 2024, she and a friend were the passengers of Mahmoud.
- At around 12:15 a.m. on July 31, 2024, she was caught on camera leaning forward from the back seat and pepper spraying Mahmoud in the face when he began praying in Arabic at a stop light on the Upper East Side in New York City. Shortly after, he called 911 and she was arrested at the scene.
- On August 5, 2024, D Pagan Communications responded to what she did to Mahmoud through a statement that read, “We are aware of the behavior of this former employee and we don’t condone this behavior.”
