Michelle Elizabeth Mercogliano, 35, of Phoenixville, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States is a special education teacher at Conestoga High School in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County.

Aside from Phoenixville, Mercogliano has lived in other parts of Pennsylvania including Frazer and Malvern. She is a former resident of Saint Albans, New York, USA.
Mercogliano is one of the three children of Giancarlo Mercogliano and Elizabeth Mercogliano. Michelle is John Alfred Mercogliano and Christina Marie Mercogliano‘s sister.
Giancarlo’s father Alfredo Mercogliano, who was born in San Potito Sannitico, Caserta, Campania, Italy, worked as a mechanic both in Italy and in the U.S. Alfredo turned 78 on April 16, 2009 and died at his residence in East Norriton Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania on January 5, 2010.
Michelle is an alumna of Conestoga High School, West Chester University in West Chester, Chester County, Dickinson College in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania and Immaculata University in East Whiteland Township, Chester County. In October 2014, she joined the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District, which based in Tredyffrin Township, as a special education paraeducator at Valley Forge Elementary School in Wayne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
In September 2024, Michelle turned 35. While employed as a teacher at Conestoga High School, she allegedly had a sexual relationship with a male student, 16.
On April 28, 2025, family members of the student contacted the Tredyffrin Township Police Department. According to the student, he and Michelle had sex about 12 times since February 2025.
Most of the interactions happened at the house of Michelle’s parents in Malvern, according to the student. She allegedly bought medical marijuana for him about 15 times at a dispensary in Phoenixville.
On April 30, 2025, Michelle was charged by the Tredyffrin Township Police Department. She is facing 63 felony charges including institutional sexual assault and the corruption of minors.
