Originally from Howland, Penobscot County, Maine, United States, Isabelle St. Cyr, 24, is making history as the first ever transgender woman to compete in Miss Maine USA. Representing Monson, Piscataquis County, Maine, she is competing against 16 other Miss Maine USA 2025 candidates including Jordon Isabella Roosevelt Hudson, 24, of Hancock, Hancock County, Maine.
This is the second time Hudson is competing for the title. She was runner-up to Miss Maine USA 2024 Anne Summer Baldridge, 27, of Portland, Cumberland County, Maine.
Miss Maine USA 2024
Representing Casco Bay, Baldridge was crowned Miss Maine USA 2024 at the Sheraton Sable Oaks in South Portland, Cumberland County on March 10, 2024. She competed against 11 other candidates.
While Hudson was the first runner-up, Rhiannon McQuaide of Wells, York County, Maine was the second runner-up. Sara Searle of the Mid Coast region of the state and Lynda Douglas of Penobscot Valley region of the state were the respective third and fourth runners-up.
Miss Maine USA 2025
On May 11, 2025, Baldridge will crown her successor at the Holiday Inn Portland By the Bay in Portland. It is the 74th edition of the state-level beauty pageant that selects Maine’s official candidate for Miss USA, which selects the official Miss Universe candidate of the U.S.
Currently, Maine has nine Miss USA placements, including the fourth runner-up finish of Katie Whittier in 2010. The most recent one was in 2018 when Marina Gray finished in the Top 10.
Including St. Cyr and Hudson, a total of 17 women are competing for the Miss Maine USA 2025 title. I believe these five candidates will make it to the top:
