On August 4, 2024, Bedwell represented Missouri at Miss USA 2024 and competed against 50 other candidates at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, USA. She was unplaced.

On May 11, 2025, Bedwell went to The Mansion Theater in Branson, Missouri where she crowned Shae Addison Smith of Springfield, Missouri as the next Miss Missouri USA. The latter will represent the state at Miss USA 2025.

Currently, Missouri has 26 Miss USA placements including the coronation of Shandi Ren Finnessey in 2004. The most recent one was in 2022 when Mikala McGhee finished in the Top 16.
