Born in Candelaria, Quezon, Philippines, Maria Ahtisa Rodriguez Manalo attended Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation in Lucena, Quezon. She will represent the country in the 74th edition of Miss Universe.
Lucena is the capital of Quezon. The province was named after Manuel Luis Quezon y Molina, who served as the second president of the Philippines from November 15, 1935 to August 1, 1944.
On May 2, 2025, Manalo represented Quezon at Miss Universe Philippines 2025 and competed against 65 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila. She won the title.

On November 21, 2025, Manalo will represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Arena in Ban Mai, Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She will compete against more than 120 other candidates including Gabriela Lacerda, 22, of Brazil, Xuhe Hou, 22, of China, Dana Almassova, 20, of Kazakhstan, Mary Kuvakova, 19, of Kyrgyzstan and Stephany Abasali, 25, of Venezuela.
