2025 Northern Samar congressmen, governor, vice governor, board members elected

Harris Christopher Mendoza Ongchuan of Laoang, Northern Samar, Philippines is Hector Ong and Madeleine Mendoza Ong‘s son. Ongchuan and his wife Charlene Lademora Ongchuan have four children together.

Harris was the mayor of Laoang from 2019 to 2022 and the congressman of Northern Samar’s second district from 2022 to 2025. On June 30, 2025, he will assume office as the governor of the province.

Northern Samar covers a total area of 3,692.93 square kilometers. On May 12, 2025, the province elected its new congressmen, governor, vice governor and provincial board members.

On October 3, 2021, Julie Tarrayo represented Northern Samar at Miss World Philippines 2021 and competed against 43 other candidates at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center in Olongapo, Philippines. She finished in the Top 15.

On May 13, 2023, Layla Adriatico represented Northern Samar at Miss Universe Philippines 2023 and competed against 37 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She was unplaced.
