2025 Zamboanga del Sur congressmen, governor, vice governor, board members elected

The Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines has three provinces namely Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga Sibugay. Collectively, the three provinces have 2,314 barangays.

Divina Grace Cabardo Yu was born in Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur. In 2016, she was elected as the congresswoman of the first district of the province.

On April 21, 2025, Yu turned 51. On June 30, 2025, she will assume office as the 16th governor of Zamboanga del Sur.

Pagadian is the capital of Zamboanga del Sur and the only component city of the province. The province has 26 municipalities including Guipos.

On July 19, 2024, Krisha Benedict Mendoza represented Zamboanga del Sur at Miss World Philippines 2024 and competed against 32 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She was unplaced.

On May 2, 2025, Princess Nanda Ibrahim represented Guipos at Miss Universe Philippines 2025 and competed against 65 other candidates at the same venue. She was unplaced.
