Ahmed Omera, 21, of Bridgeton, Cumberland County, New Jersey, United States is a concrete specialist. In 1997, the South Woods State Prison opened in Bridgeton, which is around 46 miles away from Wildwood, Cape May County, New Jersey.

From 2021 to 2022, Omera was a SunGod Energy solar consultant and a part-time Apollo Auto Sales business development center representative. From 2022 to 2023, he was a Soaring Solar solar consultant and an Amazon forklift operator.
From 2023 to 2024, Omera was a U-Haul customer service representative. In January 2024, he joined UA Auto Sales as a sales consultant and in July 2024, he joined Molly Construction as a concrete specialist.
On May 21, 2025, Omera was caught on camera brandishing an assault rifle out the window of a vehicle in Wildwood. On May 22, 2025, detectives executed a court-authorized search warrant on his resident in Bridgeton and took him into custody.
The detectives recovered an assault rifle believed to be the one Omera brandished in Wildwood. He was booked into the Cape May County Correctional Facility in Cape May Court House, Middle Township, Cape May County.
Omera was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. His detention hearing has yet to be scheduled.

Bridgeton is home to Century Bakery. On April 15, 2025, the bakery took to social media to ask customers wearing strong perfume and cologne to use drive-thru.
“Several cashiers in our bakery suffer from asthma, and this time of year can be particularly challenging for them due to the high pollen count,” the bakery stated. “The addition of strong fragrances can make it even more difficult for them to breathe, as their airways are already irritated.”
