Arnold L. Vegafria has been the Philippines’ franchise holder of Reina Hispanoamericana since 2017, Miss Grand International since 2023, Face of Beauty International since 2024 and Miss Asia Pacific International since 2025. In 2025, Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza became the first Filipino beauty queen to hold the Miss Grand International title.
On September 29, 2024, Opiaza represented Castillejos, Zambales at Miss Grand Philippines 2024 and competed against 19 other candidates at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. She won the title.
Miss Grand Philippines 2025 contestants
On August 12, 2025, Opiaza will crown her successor at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. It is the fourth standalone Miss Grand Philippines and the third edition under Vegafria’s directorship.
In this edition, five winners will be crowned. Aside from Miss Grand Philippines 2025, four other titles will be given namely Miss Asia Pacific Philippines 2025, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2025, Face of Beauty International Philippines 2025 and Miss Tourism World Philippines 2025.
There are 29 women competing for the five crowns. Here are the candidates:

As the second placer at Miss Grand Philippines 2024, Sophia Bianca Santos, then 20, of Pampanga was crowned Universal Woman Philippines 2025. In third place was Anna Margaret Mercado, then 20, of Quirino, who was crowned Miss Teen International Philippines 2024.
Santos was supposed to represent the Philippines at Universal Woman 2025 but was later disqualified due to the new age limit of the competition, which requires candidates to be aged 25 to 45. She was replaced by Miss World Philippines 2024 first runner-up Jasmine Omay, then 26.
On October 25, 2024, Opiaza represented the Philippines at Miss Grand International 2024 at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. She competed against 67 other candidates including Rachel Gupta of India, who won the title.
Opiaza was runner-up to Gupta, who was dethroned on May 28, 2025. The Filipino runner-up officially took over on June 3, 2025.
