David Ospino, 36, of Forest Hills, Queens, New York City, New York, United States is a middle school teacher. He is accused of sexually assaulting a girl.

Ospino teaches at Intermediate School 204 Oliver Wendell Holmes Middle School in Long Island City, Queens. Forest Hills is around 7 miles away from Long Island City.

Aside from Queens, Ospino has lived in other parts of New York including East Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, Jamaica, Richmond and South Richmond Hill. In September 2024, he turned 36.

Recently, a girl, 14, came forward to the New York Police Department and accused Ospino of raping her at his residence in 2024. She was not a student at the school where he taught.

At around 11:00 a.m. on June 3, 2025, NYPD officers arrested Ospino while he was at work at I.S. 204 Oliver W. Holmes Middle School. The teacher was taken into custody without incident.

According to the NYPD, Ospino was charged with rape and endangering the welfare of a child. He will be arraigned at Queens Criminal Courthouse in Kew Gardens, Queens.

Ospino’s current residence is located within the confines of the 112th Precinct of the NYPD, which is based in Forest Hills. The neighborhood is home to the Queens Community House, one of the largest human services organizations based in Queens, the West Side Tennis Club and the Long Island Jewish Forest Hills.
