Oscar Armando Ramirez, 36, of Southeast Portland, Portland, Oregon, United States is a high school teacher in Gresham, Multnomah County, Oregon. Portland is around 16 miles away from Gresham, around 20 miles away from Boring, Oregon and around 26 miles away from Damascus, Oregon.

The Gresham-Barlow School District serves Boring, Damascus and Gresham. The school district has two high schools namely Gresham High School and Sam Barlow High School, which are both in Gresham.

In 1966, Mt. Hood Community College was established in Gresham. The city is also home to Centennial High School, Eastside Christian School, Portland Adventist Elementary School and Springwater Trail High School.

In 2021, the Gresham-Barlow School District hired Ramirez as a social studies teacher. The required fingerprinting and background checks completed by the school district when he was hired did not reveal any criminal record.

In December 2024, Ramirez started communicating online with someone he believed was an underage girl. Unbeknownst to him, he was actually communicating with an undercover police officer in Bothell, Washington, USA posing as a girl aged 13.

For four days, Ramirez allegedly engaged in lewd conversation about acts he wanted to perform on who he thought was a teenage girl. During the chats, he allegedly mentioned being a teacher of ninth to 11th graders.

On December 6, 2024, the Gresham-Barlow School District was notified of an investigation involving Ramirez. He was immediately placed on administrative leave.

On June 3, 2025, a grand jury in Multnomah County indicted Ramirez on one count of felony second-degree online sexual corruption of a child and three counts of felony luring of a minor. On June 6, 2025, officers with the Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT), Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) and a K9 unit arrested him outside his residence in Southeast Portland.
