Vance Luther Boelter is an American businessman and evangelist who traveled in Africa, the Middle East, North America and South America to preach Christianity. He once launched a Christian nonprofit called Revoformation Ministries.

In the early 2000s, Boelter registered to vote as a Republican. In 2023, he moved to Green Isle, Sibley County, Minnesota, United States where he lived with his wife Jenny Boelter while renting a room at a residence in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Praetorian Guard Security Services, a company that provides residential armed home security in Minnesota, was registered to Vance and Jenny’s address in Green Isle. She was listed as president and chief executive officer and his cousin Todd Boelter, a former police officer, was listed as a security training manager.

  • On the morning of June 14, 2025, he was seen in Minneapolis carrying a dark bag and wearing a light-colored cowboy hat, dark long-sleeve shirt and light pants. He went on the run after he allegedly shot John, Yvette, Melissa and Mark. After the shootings, law enforcement towed a black Ford Explorer equipped with police lights outside his residence in Green isle. Earlier that day, he sent a text message to his roommate, saying, “Dead shortly. So, I just wanna let you know that I love you guys both, and I wish it hadn’t gone this way. I don’t want to say anything more and implicate you in any way because you, you guys, don’t know anything about this. But I love you guys, and I’m sorry for all the trouble this has caused.”
  • On June 15, 2025, he was arrested in Sibley County.
