From 1988 to 2021, Stinson served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He achieved the rank of lieutenant during that time.

With extensive training in operations training, Stinson worked as an instructor for the Incident Command Systems of the Federal Emergency Management. He was awarded sharpshooter ribbons for piston qualification in 1988 and rifle qualification in 1989.

Identifying as an anti-fascist, also known as antifa, Stinson founded the Mayday Movement USA. The main objective of the organization is Trump’s impeachment and removal.

In 2020, Stinson allegedly started posting threats against Donald Trump on social media sites including Bluesky, Instagram, Reddit and X. On April 6, 2020, he wrote on Bluesky, “What a f—–g moron. Would someone just pull the proverbial trigger, please.

“I would do it,” Stinson wrote in another Bluesky post that day. “I would take the fall to save America. Too bad I don’t have the operational skills to pull it off. I am willing to serve in a support capacity for someone else with the skills to take care of things.”

Born in Queens, New York City, New York, USA, Trump served as the 45th U.S. president from January 20, 2017 to January 20, 2021. He assumed office as the 47th U.S. president on January 20, 2025 and turned 79 on June 14, 2025.

When Stinson took to Instagram to post the numbers 8647 on June 9, 2025, someone tagged Federal Bureau of Investigation director Kash Patel, 45, in the comments. According to The Independent, 86 means “get rid of” and 47 refers to Trump as the 47th U.S. president.

On June 11, 2025, Stinson posted twice on his Bluesky account. He wrote “8647” and “when he dies, the party is going to be yuge.”

On June 13, 2025, an FBI task force officer submitted an affidavit accusing Stinson of making threats against Trump between April 4, 2020 and June 11, 2025. On June 16, 2025, the Oakton man made his first court appearance and on June 18, 2025, he will attend his preliminary hearing.
