On June 29, 2025, Bainbridge crowned her successor Tetra Shaylice Shockley at the Laird Performing Arts Center at The Tatnall School in Wilmington, Delaware. The latter is a lawyer with two children.

On April 28, 2024, Bainbridge represented Newark at Miss Delaware USA 2024 and competed against 11 other candidates at the Laird Performing Arts Center at The Tatnall School in Wilmington, Delaware. She won the title.

On August 4, 2024, Bainbridge represented Delaware at Miss USA 2024 and competed against 50 other candidates at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, USA. She was unplaced.

On October 12, 2025, Shockley will represent Delaware at Miss USA 2025 and compete against 50 other candidates. She will make history as the second woman older than 40 to compete in Miss USA following Arizona’s Kristina Johnson who competed at Miss USA 2024 at age 41.

Shockley is the first mother, the first married woman and the first woman older than 30 to win Miss Delaware USA. On October 27, 2024, she turned 44.
