• On October 13, 2024, he was arrested after he allegedly fatally shooting Brielle, their parents and their family dog inside their residence in Tijeras, dragging their bodies outside and trying to clean up the crime scene. While in custody, he tried to escape but was immediately recaptured and booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque.
• On November 14, 2024, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office released body camera footage of his arrest and attempts to escape custody hours after his sister and their parents were murdered.

• In April 2025, the court ruled he was not competent to stand trial he was sent to the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA for treatment.
