Derron Stephen Andrews‘s wife Jenelle Thongs Andrews is the first married woman to represent Trinidad and Tobago in Miss Universe. On August 4, 2024, she was crowned Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2024 at Queen’s Hall in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago where she defeated 10 other candidates.

On July 20, 2025, Jenelle will go back to Queens Hall in Port of Spain to crown her successor. It is the 46th edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Trinidad and Tobago’s Miss Universe candidate.

Stephen Jones has been the chief executive officer of Crowns and Sashes Academy T&T since July 2019 and he has been the national director of Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago since 2022.
Currently, Trinidad and Tobago has nine Miss Universe placements including the coronation of Janelle Commissiong in 1977 and Wendy Fitzwilliam in 1998. The most recent one was in the 2022 edition where Tya Jané Ramey finished in the Top 16.
On November 16, 2024, Jenelle represented Trinidad and Tobago at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. She was unplaced but she won the Miss Congeniality award.
