BIOGRAPHY

Hoang is a Vietnamese model and beauty queen. She was born and raised in Thiền Lâm, Tĩnh Gia, Thanh Hóa, Vietnam.

She studied industrial design at Hanoi Architectural University in Hanoi, Vietnam.
In 2010, she graduated from Tĩnh Gia 1 High School in Tĩnh Gia.

In 2016, she studied fashion design at Central Saint Martins in London, England, United Kingdom.

Hoang is 5’10” tall. She is also known as Maika Hoang and Mia Hoang.

She competed against 14 other contestants in “Vietnam’s Next Top Model” Cycle 2, which aired on VTV3 from September 25, 2011 to January 8, 2012. She emerged as the winner.
On March 10, 2012, she represented Vietnam at Top Model of the World 2012 and competed against 42 other candidates at the Casino Hohensyburg in Dortmund, Germany. She finished in the Top 15.
She served as a coach in “The Face Vietnam” Season 2, which aired on VTV3 from June 11, 2017 to August 27, 2017.
On January 6, 2018, she represented Thanh Thoa at Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 and competed against 69 other candidates at the Crown Convention Center in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, Vietnam. She was runner-up to H’Hen Nie.
On May 6, 2019, she was officially appointed Miss Universe Vietnam 2019.
On December 8, 2019, she represented Vietnam at Miss Universe 2019 and competed against 89 other candidates at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. She finished in the Top 20.

In March 2025, she walked for LSOUL at the Shanghai Fashion Week 2025 in Shanghai, China.
