Kristell Angelik Ruiz Freeman competed in Miss Costa Rica twice and Miss Universe Costa Rica once. She represented Costa Rica in the sixth edition of Miss Eco International and the 11th edition of Miss Grand International.

BIOGRAPHY

Ruiz is a Costa Rican journalist and beauty queen. She was born in San Jose, Costa Rica to Guillermo Ruiz and Kathia Freeman, who is from Limon, Costa Rica.

• On April 4, 2021, she represented Costa Rica at Miss Eco International 2021 and competed against 38 other candidates at the Baron Resort Sharm El Sheikh in Nasrany, Sharm El-Sheikh, South Sinai, South Sinai Governorate, Egypt. She was fourth runner-up to Gizzelle Uys of South Africa.
• On September 28, 2022, she competed against eight other Miss Costa Rica 2022 candidates at Estudio Marco Picado in Heredia, Costa Rica. She was runner-up to Maria Fernanda Rodriguez.
• From May 2023 to August 2023, she worked again as a customer service agent at Amazon in San Jose.
• On October 25, 2023, she represented Costa Rica at Miss Grand International 2023 and competed against 68 other candidates at the Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She was unplaced.
• On July 19, 2025, she competed against 14 other Miss Universe Costa Rica 2025 candidates at the Centro Internacional de Convenciones ANDE (CIC ANDE) in San Antonio, Belen, Heredia, Costa Rica. She was second runner-up to Mahyla Roth Benavides.
