Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza represented Castillejos, Zambales, Philippines at Miss Grand Philippines 2024 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. She competed against 19 other candidates and won the title.
Miss Grand Philippines 2025
On August 12, 2025, Opiaza will crown her successor at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay. It is the fourth standalone Miss Grand Philippines and the third edition under Arnold Vegafria‘s directorship.
In this edition, four winners will be crowned. The first placer is Miss Grand Philippines 2025 while the second, third and fourth placers will be crowned Miss Asia Pacific Philippines 2025, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2025 and Face of Beauty International Philippines 2025, respectively.
There are 29 women competing for the four crowns. If facial beauty is the only criterion, these will be my Top 5 candidates:

Representing the Philippines, Nicole Cordoves and Samantha Bernardo were both first runner-up in the 2016 and 2020 Miss Grand International editions, respectively. In 2025, Opiaza became the first Filipino beauty queen to hold the title.
Miss Grand International 2024
On October 25, 2024, Opiaza represented the Philippines at Miss Grand International 2024 at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. She competed against 67 other candidates including Rachel Gupta of India, who won the title.
Opiaza was runner-up to Gupta. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Thae Su Nyein of Myanmar, Safietou Kabengele of France and Talita Hartmann of Brazil.
Maria Felix of the Dominican Republic, Nova Liana of Indonesia, Arlette Rujel of Peru, Susana Lucia Medina of Spain and Amy Viranya Berry of the United Kingdom finished in the Top 10. They were named the fifth runners-up.
Gupta was dethroned on May 28, 2025 and Opiaza officially took over on June 3, 2025. Hartmann, Berry, Medina and Felix became the new first, second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
