Emilia Ignacia Dides Maffei attended the Escuela Moderna de Música y Danza and Academia Alicia Puccio, which are both in Vitacura, Santiago, Chile, the Universidad Mayor in Providencia, Chile and Jackie Arredondo’s Music World in Miami, Florida, United States. She is the reigning Miss Universo Chile 2024.
Representing Vitacura, Dides won the title on July 7, 2024 at the Teatro Centro de Extensión Instituto Nacional (CEINA) in Santiago. She competed against 24 other candidates including Francisca Lavandero of Los Angeles, who was the first runner-up.
Ariel Cordero of San Felipe was the second runner-up. The respective third, fourth, fifth and sixth runners-up were Javiera Israel of La Dehesa, Ignacia Fernández of Los Dominicos, Beatriz Vasquez of Las Condes and Camilla Alan of Cajon del Maipo.
Miss Universo Chile 2025 predictions
On July 25, 2025, Dides will host the Miss Universo Chile 2025 semifinals at the Studio 1 of Canal 13 in Santiago, Chile with Martin Cárcamo. Out of the 25 semifinalists, only 20 finalists will be selected to battle it out during the coronation ceremony at the same venue on August 1, 2025.
This is the 62nd edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Chile’s Miss Universe candidate. I believe these five candidates will make it to the top:

On November 16, 2024, Dides represented Chile at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. She finished in the Top 12.
