Olivia Travis was born in Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia, United States. She attended Martinsburg High School in Martinsburg.
On June 1, 2024, Travis represented Barboursville Fall Fest at Miss West Virginia Teen USA 2024 at the Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts of West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, Upshur County, West Virginia. She won the title.
On July 27, 2025, Travis went back to the Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts where she crowned her successor Baylee Jarrett. The latter will represent West Virginia at Miss Teen USA 2025.
