Clinton David Brink of Prairie Grove, Washington County, Arkansas, United States and his wife Cristen Amanda Brink have died. He was 43 and she was 41.
Clinton and Cristen have two daughters together. The girls were born in 2016 and 2018.
Andrew McGann
Andrew James McGann, 28, of Springdale, Arkansas was a teacher at Donald Elementary School in Flower Mound, Texas, USA in the 2022-2023 school year. He worked as a teacher at Spring Creek Elementary School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, USA during the 2023-2024 school year.
In the spring of 2024, the Lewisville Independent School District placed McGann on administrative leave following concerns related to student relationship, professional judgment and classroom management. Ultimately, he ultimately resigned.
In 2024, McGann started teaching fifth grade at Northwoods Fine Arts Academy in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. In May 2025, he left the school.
Recently, McGann moved to Springdale. He was a teacher candidate for the 2025-2026 school year in the Springdale Public Schools, a public school district for students of primary and secondary education in the city.
Also recently, Clinton, Cristen and their two daughters moved from North Dakota, USA to Prairie Grove. On July 16, 2025, the family started water service with the city, which is around 20 miles away from Prairie Grove.
On July 26, 2025, Clinton, Cristen and their two daughters hiked at Devil’s Den State Park. About a half mile into the park, McGann fatally stabbed Clinton and Cristen.
The girls were not physically harmed after they were taken to safety by Cristen. When she returned to help Clinton, she was also attacked by McGann, who sustained cuts on his hands during a struggle with the couple.
Shortly before 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2025, McGann was arrested at a barbershop in Springdale, which is around 30 miles north of the Devil’s Den State Park. When he was interviewed by police officers, he admitted to killing Clinton and Cristen.
Items recovered from McGann’s residence were consistent with being involved in the crime. His deoxyribonucleic acid matched DNA from blood recovered from the crime scene.
On August 1, 2025, McGann will make his first court appearance. His arraignment has yet to be scheduled.
