29 Miss Michigan USA 2025 candidates competing in Port Huron

Miss USA 2024 Alma Oralia Minerva Cooper was born in Okemos, Ingham County, Michigan, United States to Stacey Cooper and Oralia Minerva Cooper. Stacey is African-American and Oralia is Mexican.

On April 21, 2024, Alma represented Okemos at Miss Michigan USA 2024 and competed against 64 other candidates at the McMorran Entertainment Center in Port Huron, St. Clair County, Michigan. She won the title.

Miss Michigan USA 2025 contestants

On March 17, 2025, Alma turned 23. On August 9, 2025, she will go back to the McMorran Entertainment Center in Port Huron to crown her successor, which marks the 74th edition of the beauty pageant that selects Michigan’s candidate for Miss USA, which selects the Miss Universe candidate of the U.S.

Currently, Michigan has 27 Miss USA placements including the coronation of Carole Gist in 1990, Kenya Moore in 1993, Rima Fakih in 2010 and Alma in 2024. Gist was runner-up to Miss Universe 1990 Mona Grudt of Norway.

Moore finished in the Top 6 at Miss Universe 1993. Fakih and Alma were unplaced at Miss Universe 2010 and Miss Universe 2024, respectively.
