Autumn Marie Bardisa, 29, of Palm Coast, Flagler County, Florida, United States has been arrested. She worked as an advanced nurse technician at AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway, a nonprofit hospital in the city.

Aside from Palm Coast, Bardisa has lived in other parts of Florida including New Port Richey and Tarpon Springs. She graduated from Bayside High School in Palm Bay, Brevard County, Florida.
When Bardisa applied for a job at AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway, she claimed that she was an education-first registered nurse, someone who has yet to pass the national exam to obtain a license but has passed the required schooling to become a registered nurse. On July 3, 2023, the hospital hired her as an advanced nurse tech.
During the hiring process, Bardisa told the hospital that she had passed the exam and provided a license number matching an individual with her first name but with a different last name. She explained that she had recently gotten married and had a new last name.
The name Bardisa used belonged to a registered nurse employed by AdventHealth at a different hospital. They went to the same school but they did not personally know each other.
From June 2024 through January 2025, Bardisa participated in medical services to 4,486 individuals despite never holding a valid nursing license. Although she never provided her marriage license as the hospital requested to confirm her identity, she was offered a promotion in January 2025.
An employee of the hospital found out that Bardisa’s certified nursing assistant license has expired and reported it to administrators. On January 22, 2025, the hospital fired the Palm Coast woman for her failure to confirm her identity and contacted the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office to conduct a criminal investigation.
Aside from reviewing documents, detectives and investigators with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Florida Department of Health interviewed AdventHealth employees and the nurse whose identity Bardisa stole. On April 25, 2025, the suspect turned 29.
On August 5, 2025, a warrant was issued for Bardisa’s arrest. She was arrested at her residence in Palm Coast and booked into the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility in Bunnell, Flagler County.
Bond for Bardisa was set at $70,000. She was charged with seven counts each of fraudulent use of personal identification information and practicing a health care profession without a license.
