Maria Sesaldo Gigante of Santa Fe, Bantayan Island, Cebu, Philippines earned her bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, Philippines in 2014. She was appointed Universal Woman Philippines 2024 on January 26, 2024.
On March 22, 2024, Gigante represented the Philippines at Universal Woman 2024 and competed against 43 other candidates at PNN TV in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She won the title.
Universal Woman 2025 contestants
On August 10, 2025, Gigante will crown her successor in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. It is the third edition of the international beauty pageant for women aged 25 to 45.
