Maria Sesaldo Gigante of Santa Fe, Bantayan Island, Cebu, Philippines was appointed Universal Woman Philippines 2024 on January 26, 2024. On March 22, 2024, she represented the Philippines at Universal Woman 2024, competed against 43 other candidates at PNN TV in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and won the title.
Runner-up to Gigante was Lisandra Chirinos of Venezuela. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Elisa Mysyshyne of France, Brianna Mai of Cambodia and Chabeli Tavera Peña of the Dominican Republic.
Universal Woman 2025 predictions

Maria Gigante
Born and raised in Cebu, Gigante is the eldest of seven children. From 2006 to 2010, she attended Sacred Heart School in Cebu City, Philippines and from 2010 to 2014, she went to the University of San Carlos in Cebu City where she earned her bachelor’s degree in philosophy.
On June 5, 2022, Gigante represented Cebu at Miss World Philippines 2022 and competed against 35 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. She finished in the Top 11.
On August 29, 2024, Gigante co-hosted the Miss Universe Cambodia 2024 coronation ceremony at the Camwood CTN Studio in Phnom Penh with Leav Veng Hour. On September 8, 2024, she turned 30.
